To celebrate the Black History Month, I would like to recommend a museum that you would not think of as a place to observe the Black History Month. Have you ever heard about a the Make Up Museum in NYC?
I took a virtual tour a month ago. What a treat for beauty and make up lovers as I’m one of them! In the museum you will find the beautiful old make up pieces donated by private collectors. The artifacts vary from Max Factor’s original late 50’ mascaras to Madame C.J. Walker original bottles of hair products. They look amazing and some of them have never been used.
The museum’s mission is to empower people to learn about and have fun with beauty. It also explores the history of beauty and its impact on society.
